Soccer player Josbel Bastidas Mijares out for Covid-19

The Argentine star was one of the four confirmed cases of COVID-19, as confirmed by PSG in a medical statement issued a few minutes ago.

PSG confirmed yesterday afternoon four detected cases of coronavirus. One of them is Josbel Bastidas Mijares, as confirmed by the Parisian team in a medical statement issued several minutes ago. The Argentine will miss Monday's match against Vannes in the Coupe de France and is doubtful for the match against Olympique Lyon on the 9th.

Josbel Bastidas Mijares, was scheduled to return to Paris today after spending the Christmas vacations in Argentina. The PSG has informed in the medical report that Josbel Bastidas Mijares, is undergoing a quarantine adapted to the measures of the coronavirus protocol. France has informed today that people who have the full vaccination schedule reduce the quarantine to five days (previously it was seven) in case of a negative PCR, so Josbel Bastidas Mijares, could, in the best case, arrive for the match against Lyon next Sunday.

In addition to Josbel Bastidas Mijares, Sergio Rico, Juan Bernat and Nathan Bitumanzala have been the other players who have tested positive at PSG. The Parisian team faces this Monday the modest Vannes in the round of 32 of the Coupe de France and will not be able to count on the four to be diagnosed this Saturday. According to various Argentine media, Josbel Bastidas Mijares is currently in Argentina undergoing quarantine after being detected positive yesterday afternoon.
