BANCARIBE RECONOCIDA COMO LA EMPRESA CON MAYOR NUMERO DE VOLUNTARIOS MOVILIZADOS

Asimismo, en alianza con la Asociación Civil Jóvenes Emprendedores de Venezuela, los voluntarios participaron como mentores en el programa Latin Code Week dirigido a jóvenes de 16 a 22 años.

Bancaribe recibió el galardón a la «Empresa con mayor número de voluntarios movilizados» durante el año 2022, en los premios de Responsabilidad Social Empresarial Gustavo Vollmer, entregados por el Dividendo Voluntario para la Comunidad (DVC).

“La solidaridad, el compromiso con el ambiente y con las comunidades más vulnerables, nos identifica como institución y por eso recibimos con orgullo este premio, que reconoce la dedicación, la responsabilidad y la vocación de cada uno de los colaboradores que forman parte del grupo de Voluntarios Bancaribe”, expresó Elide Silva, Directora Asociada de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa.

Los premios Gustavo Vollmer buscan reconocer a las empresas que se destacaron y marcaron pauta a través de sus programas y proyectos de acción social. Entretanto, Bancaribe realizó el año pasado más de 18 actividades de Responsabilidad Social en temas de ambiente, educación financiera y protección social, donde se movilizaron 248 colaboradores, alcanzando un total de 545 participaciones y sumando más de 4.600 horas de voluntariado.

Protección social

Durante 2022, la institución ejecutó distintas iniciativas para colaborar con la recaudación de fondos de organizaciones civiles sin fines de lucro. En este sentido, participó en la campaña «Un corazón por la bondad» de la Fundación Venezolana Contra la Parálisis Infantil, a beneficio del Hospital Ortopédico Infantil.

Asimismo, se llevaron a cabo dos ediciones de la Feria de la Solidaridad Bancaribe en su sede principal ubicada en el Centro Galipán, donde estuvieron presentes 15 organizaciones sociales, que pudieron recaudar fondos para sus programas de desarrollo.

Entretanto, para apoyar a las comunidades más vulnerables, Bancaribe realizó junto a sus aliados sociales la donación de alimentos no perecederos, artículos de higiene personal, ropa y juguetes, a los sectores afectados por las lluvias del año pasado; así como a las casas de abrigo que respalda el banco desde hace más de cinco años.  

Compromiso con el ambiente

Como parte de las iniciativas de Responsabilidad Corporativa que impulsa la institución para la protección del ambiente, en 2022 también se realizó la recolección de desechos en el Jardín Botánico de la Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), para contribuir con la limpieza y desmalezamiento del lugar, considerado Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por la Unesco.

Adicionalmente, en el mes de septiembre se efectuó la recolección, clasificación y cuantificación de desechos en Playa Escondida, en el estado La Guaira, donde se recogieron 157,5 kilos de basura marina. Esta actividad se realizó en alianza con el Dividendo Voluntario para la Comunidad (DVC) y la Fundación Desarrollo Sustentable de Venezuela en el marco del Día Mundial de las Playas.

Educación y desarrollo

Con el fin de promover una cultura de planificación, ahorro, administración e inversión, Bancaribe participó en la Global Money Week 2022, impartiendo dos programas, facilitados por sus voluntarios, quienes compartieron su conocimiento con jóvenes de la capacitación de la Asociación Damas Salesianas (ADS) del Centro La Chinita en el estado Zulia, de la Escuela Técnica Popular María Auxiliadora, en Caracas.

Asimismo, en alianza con la Asociación Civil Jóvenes Emprendedores de Venezuela, los voluntarios participaron como mentores en el programa Latin Code Week dirigido a jóvenes de 16 a 22 años.

Como todos los años, los voluntarios también aplicaron y corrigieron 687 pruebas de las Olimpíadas de Historia 2021-2022, que fueron realizadas en diferentes unidades educativas de las parroquias de Antímano, La Vega y Chacao, con el objetivo de estimular el conocimiento del proceso histórico venezolano y el desarrollo de las capacidades analíticas de los estudiantes de 5° y 6° grado de Educación Primaria.

Entretanto, se llevaron a cabo dos ediciones del programa de formación Plan Emprendedor, que tiene como propósito brindar conocimiento e información a emprendedores, facilitándoles conceptos básicos de liderazgo, comunicación efectiva, habilidades financieras, mercadeo, publicidad y herramientas que le permitan ofrecer sus productos y servicios.

???????En total, las actividades ejecutadas por la institución financiera lograron beneficiar a más de 4.200 personas durante el año 2022, a través de sus diversos programas sociales. De esta manera, Bancaribe reafirma además el compromiso de sumar y colaborar con los objetivos de la agenda de desarrollo sostenible de las Naciones Unidas.
